Improve Your Credit Score
Introduction

As you may know, your Credit Score is the one of the most important numbers in your life. It can affect your ability to buy a home, obtain a job, credit card rates, health insurance rates and much more. The higher your Credit Score the more money you save on lower interest rates. The lower your Credit Score the more money you will pay in higher interest rates.

Before we delve too far into this topic, I need to state this disclaimer "S&S Investments, LLC is not a credit counseling company. The information and tips included in this section are from years of researching the topic, speaking with mortgage brokers, helping tenants to improve their credit scores and working in the real estate business."

Now that the legal stuff is out of the way, let us move onto the important part - Information to Help You Improve Your Credit Score and Purchase a Home.

We are going to cover the important points and attempt to provide you with as much useful information as possible as fast as possible. If you would like more information on Credit Score and Reports, please sign up for our monthly newsletter using the form to the right.

There are three credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion. Not all creditors report to each credit bureau; therefore, each credit bureau may have a slightly different credit report and score.

The first step to improving your Credit Score is to know what information is on your Credit Report. If you do not have a current Credit Report, you can obtain your free credit reports at www.annualcreditreport.com. Federal law allows you to obtain your Credit Report once a year for free.

If you already received your free credit report for the year, then we recommend Equifax 3-in-1 Credit Report. This service will give you access to all three of your Credit Reports.

You will be able to instantly obtain your credit report(s) online by using our recommended online service.

Once you have your Credit Report, move onto Understanding Your Credit Report.
